Muller Frijj Fudge Brownie Flavour Milkshake

A sharp sourness to the initial bouquet will almost certainly (negatively) bleed into your taste experience. There’s a definite ‘caramel’ flavor pursuit here, which is odd given the ‘fudge brownie’ moniker. The taste isn’t as offensive as the smell, and the texture is noticeably thinner than other Frijj products— overall, it’s more caramel than brownie, and the initial flavor mystery wears off for the better as you sip away.

Plus Light Chocolade Melk

Well played here— a lighter version that puts more stock in cream than in sugar. Texture is on the gummy side that is more noticeable in small sips-- but the artificial sweeteners are well hidden and don’t detract from the flavor.

Albert Heijn Classic Choco Melk

Thick and chalky, with a fleeting cocoa flavor and relatively empty finish. It feels like it should be packed with flavor, but it washes out and doesn't deliver. There's also an unpleasant aftertaste that lingers for some time after swallowing— which is the only real reason to take another sip. But you have to break the cycle at some point. Now is a good time.

Ehrmann High Protein Shot Chocolate

Creamy, almost 'airy' feel-- which is unique, as most protein-enriched chocolate milks feel dense or gummy. Lightly sweet with identifiable cocoa, this is a welcome surprise as it doesn't carry too much unnecessary baggage from a flavor standpoint. Definitely feels more indulgent than the label lets on.

Pirkka Pro Suklaa

Chalky, but still more milky than most other protein drinks out there. There’s a sharpness to the cocoa that feels just a tad off, but all things considered, it's a fairly decent tasting protein-enriched chocolate milk.

Nestle Nesquik Shake

Sludgy, way over-emulsified, and an off flavor that (in part) is due to cinnamon. It’s definitely sweet, nastily thick, and neither indulgent nor what you expect when seeking a chocolate milkshake experience.
